9.1 California Privacy Rights Notice

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Please see Section 1.6 of this document (California CCPA/CPRA Notice) for a full description of California resident rights.

9.2 Washington State — Advertising & Privacy Considerations

Washington Privacy (My Health MY Data Act / SB 5062 — Washington Privacy Act):

Washington does not yet have a comprehensive consumer privacy law modeled after CCPA (as of this writing). However, the My Health MY Data Act (effective 2024) restricts collection and sharing of health data, which may be relevant if the Firm collects any health-related information.

Washington Attorney Advertising:

Washington RPC 7.1 governs attorney advertising. All communications must be truthful and non-deceptive. No advance filing is required. The Firm's Washington-admitted attorneys are subject to WSBA rules.

9.3 Florida Bar Advertising Compliance Notice

Florida Rule of Professional Conduct 4-7.11 through 4-7.23 imposes specific requirements on attorney advertising in Florida, including:

All advertisements must contain the name and address of at least one lawyer responsible for the content
The phrase 'Attorney Advertising' must appear in the advertisement
Statements about past successes or results must include the disclaimer that past results do not guarantee future results
Qualifying language must accompany any potentially misleading statements
Certain advertisements must be filed with the Florida Bar Lawyer Advertising Unit

9.4 Arkansas Attorney Advertising Notice

Arkansas Rules of Professional Conduct Rules 7.1–7.5 govern attorney advertising. Key requirements for Arkansas-admitted attorneys include:

Advertising must not be false or misleading
Solicitation of prospective clients must comply with Rule 7.3
The Firm's name and contact information must be included in all ads

9.5 New Mexico Jurisdiction & Advertising Notice

New Mexico Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 16-700 et seq. govern attorney advertising. Requirements include:

Communications must not be false or misleading (Rule 16-701)
Written, recorded, or electronic solicitations must include 'Advertising Material' on the outside of any envelope or at the beginning and ending of any recorded or electronic solicitation
The Firm's name and address must be included

Jurisdiction Notice for New Mexico:

Appellate Counsel, PC handles federal appellate matters and may appear in New Mexico state courts through pro hac vice admission. New Mexico state bar admission of individual attorneys varies. Contact the Firm to confirm admission status for your matter.

9.6 Massachusetts Advertising & Testimonial Notice

Massachusetts Rules of Professional Conduct Rule 7.1 et seq. govern attorney advertising. Key Massachusetts-specific considerations:

Advertising must not be false or misleading
Testimonials and endorsements must not imply the Firm can achieve similar results; a disclaimer is required
Written solicitations to prospective clients must be labeled 'ADVERTISING MATERIAL'
The Firm must retain a copy of each advertisement for two years after its last dissemination

"Client testimonials or endorsements do not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or prediction regarding the outcome of your legal matter."
